Unispira is used to treat some types of bacterial infections, most notably respiratory tract infections such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, lungs, and bronchitis, skin and soft tissue infections including abscesses, wound infections, and skin infections.
Unispira also treats oral and dental infections such as gingivitis and periodontal problems, toxoplasmosis, especially to prevent transmission of infection from mother to fetus during pregnancy.
