Meronem is used to get rid of many types of infections that lead to severe and acute inflammation. It works to treat infections inside the abdomen, and is used to treat cases of acute appendicitis.
Meronem also treats bacterial meningitis in children over three months of age, in addition to treating skin and soft tissue infections.
