Liometacin is used as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent, to relieve inflammation associated with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as rheumatoid arthritis or osteoporosis, to relieve back pain or muscle spasms resulting from physical stress, to reduce the severity of inflammation and pain in ligaments and joints after direct injury or exposure to physical shocks, to treat certain cases of acute or chronic nerve pain, and to relieve inflammation resulting from acute gout or similar disorders.
