Salofalk is used by doctors to treat inflammation of the colon and rectum, known as ulcerative colitis.
Salofalk can be used alone or with corticosteroids in particularly severe cases. It can also be used to suppress inflammation and prevent it from returning. It is used orally or topically to treat acute attacks in mild or moderate cases of ulcerative colitis. The treatment is also used to treat proctitis.
