Medicine Description
Venclxta Tablets are a targeted therapy used to treat certain types of blood cancer. They contain venetoclax as the
active ingredient, which works by inhibiting the B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) protein that helps cancer cells survive.
By blocking this protein, the medication promotes the natural death of malignant cells and helps slow the progression
of the disease.
Venclxta is used under the supervision of a specialist for the treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia
(CLL) or acute myeloid leukemia (AML). When used according to the prescribed treatment regimen, it provides advanced
therapeutic benefits and improves treatment outcomes.
Venclxta Ingredients
Venetoclax.
Venclxta Strengths
100 mg tablets, pack containing 120 tablets.

Promotion of apoptosis (programmed cell death) in malignant cells.
Reduction of disease relapse and improvement of treatment response.
Venclxta Dosage
Treatment begins with a 5-week dose-escalation schedule to reduce the risk of tumor lysis syndrome (TLS). The usual
starting dose is 20 mg once daily, gradually increased to 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, and finally 400 mg once daily.
The tablets should be taken with food and an adequate amount of water at the same time each day. Patients should
strictly follow the dose-escalation schedule prescribed by their physician.
Side Effects of Venclxta
Decreased white blood cell and platelet counts.
Fatigue and persistent tiredness.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation.
Anemia and reduced red blood cell counts.
Increased susceptibility to bacterial and viral infections.
Risk of tumor lysis syndrome due to the rapid destruction of cancer cells.
Contraindications of Venclxta
Venclxta should not be used in patients with severe hypersensitivity to venetoclax or any of the product's
ingredients. Concomitant use with strong CYP3A inhibitors is contraindicated during treatment initiation and the
dose-escalation phase because it may significantly increase venetoclax exposure and the risk of serious toxicity.
The medication should also be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to potential risks to the fetus or
infant. Patients with severe, uncontrolled liver or kidney impairment should use the medication only after careful
medical evaluation.
Venclxta Alternatives
Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Venclxta should not be used during pregnancy because it may cause serious harm to the developing fetus. A pregnancy
test should be performed before starting treatment to confirm that the patient is not pregnant.
Women of childbearing potential should use an effective method of contraception during treatment and for the period
recommended by their physician after the final dose. Breastfeeding should also be discontinued throughout the course
of treatment.
Storage Conditions
Store in a dry place at a temperature below 30°C.
Keep the tablets in their original container to protect them from moisture and light.
Do not transfer the tablets to another container.
