When administered under close medical supervision, the vaginal tablets help stimulate effective uterine contractions, supporting the progression of labor and facilitating vaginal delivery when induction is clinically necessary.

UTRORELAXIN Dosage

The usual initial dose is one 3 mg vaginal tablet inserted deeply into the vagina by a healthcare professional. If adequate labor contractions have not developed, a second dose may be administered after 6 to 8 hours, as determined by the physician.

The maximum recommended dose is two tablets (6 mg) within 24 hours.

Contraindications of UTRORELAXIN

The medication should also not be used in women with a history of major uterine surgery, including a previous cesarean section, because of the increased risk of uterine rupture. It is also contraindicated in cases of significant fetal distress before the onset of labor.

How to Use UTRORELAXIN Correctly

Continuous monitoring of uterine contractions and the fetal heart rate using appropriate medical equipment is required throughout the treatment period.
