TURNALEV is an anti-allergic medication that effectively relieves allergy symptoms without causing significant drowsiness or sedation in most patients. It helps reduce runny nose, sneezing, and nasal discharge associated with the common cold or seasonal allergies.

It also provides relief from itchy, watery eyes and is an effective option for managing chronic urticaria (hives), helping to reduce itching and improve daily comfort through its rapid and long-lasting action.

Available Strengths

• Oral syrup, 2.5 mg/5 mL, available in a 120 mL bottle.

• Film-coated oral tablets, 5 mg, available in packs of 10 tablets.

Indications

• Relief of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms, including sneezing, runny nose, and persistent nasal discharge.

• Reduces itching of the nose and eyes as well as excessive tearing associated with allergic conjunctivitis.

• Treatment of chronic urticaria, helping relieve itching, skin rash, and redness.

• Helps control allergic reactions caused by insect bites or exposure to allergens.

Dosage and Administration

Dosage depends on the patient's age and the severity of symptoms.

The usual dose for children aged 2 years to less than 6 years is 2.5 mL of the syrup once daily or as directed by the physician.

For children aged 6 years and older and adults, the usual dose is 10 mL of the syrup or one 5 mg tablet once daily. Follow the prescribed dosage or the product labeling, and do not exceed the recommended dose without medical advice.

Side Effects

• Mild dry mouth or throat, which usually improves with adequate fluid intake.

• Mild headache or temporary fatigue, particularly at the beginning of treatment.

• Mild abdominal discomfort or transient gastrointestinal upset in some patients.

Contraindications

Do not use TURNALEV if you have a known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, other piperazine derivatives, or any of the product's ingredients.

The medication is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment or those undergoing regular dialysis.

It should not be administered to children younger than 2 years of age due to insufficient safety data. Use with caution and consult a physician before use in patients with urinary retention or an enlarged prostate, as these conditions may be aggravated.
