Medicine Description
TRUVADA is an antiviral medication used to inhibit viral replication effectively. It works by blocking the replication
of viruses inside human cells, helping to protect the immune system and maintain its normal function.
It plays an important role in reducing the viral load in the blood and is widely used both as part of antiretroviral
therapy for HIV infection and as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of acquiring HIV in individuals at
substantial risk of infection.
