    Medicine Description

Treatocandivag cream is a vaginal antifungal medication used to eliminate vaginal fungal infections and relieve their associated symptoms. Thanks to its advanced formulation, it helps treat fungal infections caused by Candida and other yeasts affecting the intimate area.

The medication works by inhibiting the growth of fungal cells and disrupting their cell membrane, promoting rapid healing while preventing the infection from spreading to the surrounding tissues. It also helps relieve itching, irritation, redness, and abnormal vaginal discharge.

    Drug Ingredients

    • butoconazole nitrate.

    Available Strengths

    • Vaginal cream 2% in a 15 g tube.

    Indications of Treatocandivag

    • Treatment of acute and chronic vaginal yeast infections (vaginal candidiasis).

    • Relief of symptoms associated with fungal vaginal infections, including severe itching and burning.

    • Elimination of thick white vaginal discharge caused by excessive fungal growth.

    Dosage

Use the medication as directed by the physician. In most cases, one full applicator of the cream is inserted into the vagina once at bedtime using the applicator provided with the package.

It is preferable to apply the cream in the evening, as lying down after application helps the medication remain in the vagina for a longer period, enhancing its therapeutic effect. The physician will determine whether a single dose is sufficient or if additional doses are required based on the severity of the infection and the patient's response to treatment.

    Side Effects

    • Mild temporary stinging or burning sensation inside the vagina immediately after application.

    • Mild irritation or temporary itching in the intimate area due to the initial response to the active ingredient.

    • Mild lower abdominal or pelvic cramps in very rare cases.

    Contraindications

    • Do not use this medication if you have a known hypersensitivity or previous allergic reaction to Butoconazole or any other imidazole antifungal agents.

    • Do not use it in girls before puberty or during menstruation, as menstrual flow may reduce the effectiveness of the medication. It should also not be used in the presence of open sores or unexplained vaginal bleeding.

    Alternatives

    • Sedalostate.

    • Butoconazole.

    • Butoconil.

    • Vagizole.

    Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

This vaginal cream should be used with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is generally not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy unless the physician determines that the expected benefits outweigh the potential risks, and it should only be used under medical supervision.

If treatment during pregnancy is necessary, the applicator should be used exactly as instructed by the physician to avoid irritation or injury to the cervix.

Consult your physician before using this medication while breastfeeding to determine whether it is appropriate and to ensure that there is no potential risk to the nursing infant.

    Storage Conditions

    • Store the cream in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

    • Do not freeze the tube, and keep it away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

    • Keep the tube tightly closed and store it in a safe place out of the reach of children.
