What is the dosage of Aclasta?

For the treatment of osteoporosis: The usual dose is 5 mg (in 100 ml) once a year.
For the treatment of Paget's disease: The usual dose is 5 mg (in 100 ml) as a single dose.
The patient should drink plenty of fluids before receiving the injection to ensure adequate hydration and reduce the risk of kidney problems. Blood calcium and phosphate levels are monitored before and after the injection.
What are the side effects of Aclasta?
Aclasta solution may cause some side effects, including:
Flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, and fatigue (more common after the first injection and lessening with subsequent doses).
Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Bone pain.
Temporary low blood calcium levels.
In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur, such as kidney problems, severe allergic reactions, severe pain in the thigh, hip, or jaw (osteonecrosis of the jaw), or eye problems. You should notify your doctor immediately if you experience any severe, persistent, or unusual side effects.
