Hydrozide tablets are a medication containing the active ingredient hydrochlorothiazide at a concentration of 25 mg in each tablet. Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a class of thiazide diuretics, which work to increase the excretion of water and salts from the body, helping to lower blood pressure and reduce edema (swelling caused by fluid retention). Hydrozide tablets are only available in this strength; no other known strengths or dosage forms are available.

What are the dosages of Hydrozide?
Hydrozide tablets should be taken as directed by your doctor. The dosage depends on the condition being treated and the patient's response.
For high blood pressure: The usual starting dose for adults is 12.5 mg or 25 mg once daily. Your doctor may gradually increase the dose as needed, but it usually does not exceed 50 mg per day.
For edema: The starting dose may be higher depending on the severity of the edema. The medication may be taken daily or intermittently depending on the patient's response.
It is preferable to take Hydrozide in the morning to avoid frequent urination during the night. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Adhere to the prescribed dose and timing of taking the medication and do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor.
