Fucidic Plus Cream is a combination skin medication that combines two active ingredients that work together to treat certain skin infections accompanied by bacterial infections. The cream contains 2% fusidic acid, an antibiotic that kills or inhibits the growth of bacteria, and 0.1% dexamethasone, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, anti-itching, and anti-redness properties. Fucidic Plus is used to reduce inflammation and treat localized bacterial infections of the skin.
What are the ingredients in Fucidic Plus?
Fucidic Plus Cream contains the following two active ingredients:
Fusidic acid: 2% by weight.
Dexamethasone: 0.1% by weight.
In addition, the cream contains inactive ingredients, including a cream base that helps distribute the medication and maintain skin moisture.
Indications for Use of Fusidic Plus
Fusidic Plus Cream is used to treat the following skin conditions in which inflammation is accompanied by a bacterial infection sensitive to fusidic acid:
Infected eczema.
Infected contact dermatitis.
Infected seborrheic dermatitis.
Infected discoid lupus erythematosus.
Infected lichen simplex chronicus.
Fucidic Plus should only be used in conditions diagnosed by a doctor that require combined antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatment.
What is the dosage of Fucidic Plus?
Fucidic Plus Cream should be used as directed by your doctor. A thin layer of the cream is usually applied to the affected area twice daily. The cream should be gently massaged in until completely absorbed. The duration of treatment recommended by your doctor should be followed and it should not be used for longer than necessary to avoid the risk of side effects. Hands should be washed thoroughly before and after applying the cream.
