Type 2 diabetes is treated with Glimadel, which helps reduce blood sugar levels. The drug stimulates the secretion of insulin from beta cells in the pancreas.
Glimadel also increases the sensitivity of peripheral tissues to insulin, thus reducing blood sugar levels. Therefore, it should not be used for patients whose blood sugar levels cannot be controlled.
