Amoflux is used to treat acute and chronic bronchitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, ear and upper respiratory tract infections, skin and subcutaneous tissue infections, and female reproductive tract infections.
Amoflux contains amoxicillin and flucloxacillin, which usually show a synergistic effect against sensitive microbes, as microorganisms that respond to amoxicillin or flucloxacillin remain treatable with the combined formulation, indicating the absence of resistance when the two substances are combined.
