Amriphylline is used to treat acute and chronic asthma, bronchospasm, and neonatal apnea in newborns. Amriphylline works by relaxing the bronchial muscles, allowing them to expand. Amriphylline also enhances the airway's resistance to stimuli that cause it to contract. This in turn makes it easier for patients to breathe.
