Omez UAE Omez is used to treat reflux esophagitis, gastric ulcers, and the second part of the small intestine, as well as antibacterial treatment for Helicobacter pylori, which causes gastric ulcers, and to prevent high levels of stomach acid and to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Omez is part of a group of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which work to reduce stomach acid production by stopping the function of a part of the stomach called the proton pump, which is the part responsible for secreting stomach acid. When the function of the proton pump is disabled, stomach acid production decreases, which reduces the feeling of burning and pain.
